Cinta di Rumah Hasan Al Banna by M. Lili Nur Aulia
I bet most of us know who is Hasan Al Banna: a well known muslim scholar who lived in the first half of the twentieth century in Egypt and the founder cum the first leader of ikhwanul muslimin (IM) or as known as muslim brotherhood.
Written by an Indonesian young writer, the book reveals a glimpse of Hasan al Banna's life in the eyes of his children since there aren't many books discussing about the life of Hasan al Banna with his own family especially related to his parenting skills; the way he interact with his children, how he educate each one of them, how to nurture love and care for them, how to create the harmony environment in the family etc. Even he is the leader of the great organisation of IM, he was able to allocate time for his family. He has been a good qudwah for his children.
It's truly a good book for all! Recommended to the parents-to-be especially those dads-to-be! Do appreciate the lessons from the book and have fun reading it! ^_^

Some friends are forever.. Sometimes in life you would find a special friend: someone who changes your life by being part of it someone who makes you laugh with her practical jokes someone who makes you smile by just being in her way someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world someone who convinces you that there is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it This is forever friendship..
Thanks to my dear forever friend *catarina* as today is your special day: 17th Jan =) hope you will always be happy in life with the shower of rahmah, sakeenah and jannah later on.. May Allah bless you my forever friend!

(Surah Al-Hujurat:12). Ayuh berbaik sangka!(^_^)
We were given so many prizes We changed the desert into oasis We built buildings of different lengths and sizes And we felt so very satisfied We bought and bought We couldn't stop buying We gave charity to the poor 'cause We couldn't stand their crying We thought we paid our dues But in fact To ourselves we're just lying
Oh...I'm walking with my head lowered in shame from my place I'm walking with my head lowered from my race Yes it's easy to blame everything on the west When in fact all focus should be on ourselves
We were told what to buy and we'd bought We went to London, Paris and We made show we were seen in the most exlusive shops Yes we felt so very satisfied
We felt our money gave us infinite power We forgot to teach our children about history and honor We didn't have any time to lose When we were.. (were) So busy feeling so satisfied
I'm walking with my head lowered in shame from my place I'm walking with my head lowered from my race Yes it's easy to blame everything on the west When in fact all focus should be on ourselves
We became the visuals without a soul despite the heat Our homes felt so empty and cold To fill the emptiness We bought and bought Maybe all the fancy cars And bling will make us feel satisfied
My dear brother and sister It's time to change inside Open your eyes Don't throw away what's right aside Before the day comes When there's nowhere to run and hide Now ask yourself 'cause Allah's watching you
Is He satisfied? Is Allah satisfied? Is Allah satisfied? Is Allah satisfied?
Oh..I'm walking with my head lowered in shame from my place I'm walking with my head lowered from my race Yes it's easy to blame everything on the west When in fact all focus should be on ourselves
This lyrics is so interesting and very motivating for me. It would be great if you could listen to the song as well; more catchy. But the main point here to ponder is about every single action that we did. Is it all for the sake of Allah? We tend to forget Him especially in times of glory. We forgot to thank Him whenever we're so happy and content with our lives. Let's muhasabah (reflect) ourselves everyday for we dont know when would be the end of us or when the trumpet is blown to mark the day of judgement where no more time left for us to repent or seek forgiveness from Allah. Ergo, we must make sure that we always remember Him in whatever action that we take; anytime and anywhere insyaAllah.
"Then do ye remember Me I will remember you." (2:152)

"I am a traveler seeking the truth, a human searching for the meaning of humanity and a citizen seeking dignity, freedom, stability and welfare under the shade of Islam. I am a free man who is aware of the purpose of his existence and who proclaims: “Truly, my prayer and my sacrifice, my living and my dying are all for Allah, the Lord of the worlds; no partner has He. This, am I commanded and I am of those who submit to His Will.” This is who I am. Who are you?
