Hijab antara Manusia dengan Allah

oleh Nur Anwar
(http://www.bicarasufi.com/bscweb/asas/a2.html)

Ataupun orang sihat tiba-tiba jatuh sakit. Puas berubat tak sembuh-sembuh .Janganlah putus asa mungkin belum sampai masanya lagi.

(Hadis Qudsi Riwayat At Thabrani dari Abu Umamah R.A)

be an original!

I know the title sounds so lame but really can't help it. I've been sort of 'scolded' by someone for not preserving the authenticity of this blog. ahhaa! guess who?!

Oh well, I just don't feel like writing my own words at times as there are thousands and billions of wonderful arrangement of words out there that are easily available. And of course I would have quoted the source if I took the exact copy of the piece. Most of the time I would only take some excerpts from any article or I just copy the quotes or some beautiful wordings and make a bit of reflections out of them. I know it may not appear so authentic to reader but this is it, that's the way I'm improving my style of writing as to have some other piece of writings to guide me through. I'm just an ordinary people trying to gain some extraordinary stuff. I'll be great little by little insyaAllah.

However, surprisingly I managed to create my own original work by writing some poems (including those poetic ramblings =P) here in this little blog like: Domino Effect, Save Me, To My Dearie Ukhti and most recently is I Feel Like Crying (T_T). Take a look at them and do drop your encouraging comments thank you =)

As George Henry Lewes said: “Originality is independence, not rebellion; it is sincerity, not antagonism.” Really hope I can relay my sincere thoughts to all of you through writing insyaAllah. I believe that everyone has their own unique viewpoints, ways of conveying useful messages and expressing themselves. We don't have to have special talents to be such unique person, we just need to harness whatever we have in hand. So let's uncover our own uniqueness then, be an original! ^_^

death

Death: A beautiful gift for a believer.

Death is a natural phenomenon for all living creatures. It is part of the life cycle. Eventually everyone will die. Still, the when-where-how-why one's death happen is remain unknown to us. Only Allah knows. One thing that we must keep in mind is that death is inevitable, and everything except Allah The Almighty of course, will perish one day. Signs of death can be seen all around us both directly or indirectly. At funerals we see people who were once walking among us being buried. During autumn we see the leaves turn from green to yellow and falling one by one, while during winter we only see trees without leaves, lifeless. So all things in this world will wither away and die.

My prematurely born nephew died yesterday at the hospital. It is considered as the neonatal death as he only survived for 5 days after being incubated. I know it would be quite sad for the expectant parents to accept the fact of their son's death but Allah loves him even more. May Allah take good care of my little nephew (even I don't have the chance to see his face) but I'm pretty sure that he is cute and lovable. May he rest in peace insyaAllah. My most sincere condolences to my dear sister and family on the loss of him.

"To Allah (Almighty God) we belong, and to Him is our return." (2:156)

Imam Malik Ibn Anas saw the Death Angel in his sleep, and the Imam asked him: " How much left for me to live?". The Angel pointed to his five fingers. Then the Imam asked him: " Does that mean 5 years, or 5 months, or 5 days ?". Before the Imam had a chance to get an answer back, he woke up.

The Imam went to someone who would interpret dreams. That man told him: " Imam Malik, when the Angel pointed to his five fingers he didn't mean 5 years or months or days, but the Angel meant that your question ' how much left for me to live' is among 5 matters that only Allah (SWT) knows about, and he recited the following verse from the Qur,an:

"Verily, with ALLAH alone is the knowledge of the Hour. And HE sends down the rain, and HE knows what is in the wombs. And no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Surely, ALLAH is All-Knowing, All-Aware. " (31:34)

As we are so engrossed with our worldly pursuits, let us always remind ourselves that we shall taste death one day and what we have been doing to prepare for our own death story. The Holy Prophet of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam has said, "The most intelligent person is the one who often remembers death. Constant remembrance of it prevents one from evil and sin and motivates him towards good morals."

The Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam also said, "The remembrance of death defeats joy." Hence, let's prepare for death and die a Muslim!

i feel like crying (T_T)

by h5@1530/100610

At times,
I feel like crying for no reason.
I don't even know why.
Sometimes,
I feel like crying over small things.
I'm such a baby then.
Often,
I feel like crying but I can't.
As nothing comes out of my eyes.

But now,
I am having that kind of feeling:
"I feel like crying" (T_T)
The world seems so dark and unfriendly.
Loss of spark.
Lifeless.

I feel like crying
when I remember the loss.
The inhumane massacre.
The despicable violence.
The cruel siege.
The vicious invasions.
The natural disasters.
All of them that shook our hearts.

I feel like crying
whenever I see the tears fall down
a victim's cheek
feel the fear
wish remains unfulfilled.
I think of my own fate.
I am saddened by the greed.
Leaders lack integrity.
Politicians abuse power.
Destroying people's trust.
I feel like crying even more...

true wealth

Richness isn't found in wealth,
as wealth can diminish.
Nor is it found in beauty,
for beauty fades with age.
It's found in good character
as well as kind hearts and understanding.

So treat people in such a way
and live amongst them in such a manner
that when you die
they do dua' (prayer) for you
and when you are alive
they benefit from you
and they thank Allah SWT The Most High
for having you in their life.

Ya Allah Ya Rahman Ya Raheem
Please open our hearts
and guide all of us
and protect us from all evil.
Ameen.

"and it is not your wealth or your children that bring you nearer to Us in position, but it is (by being) one who believed and done righteousness. For them, there will be double reward for what they did, and they will be in the upper chamber (of paradise), safe (and secure)." (Surah Saba' 34:37)

domino effect

by h5@1500/080610

^_^ Smile is an act of love <3
Love keeps us alive.
To be alive is power.
Power gives more confidence.
Confidence chase away worry.
Worry leads to stress.
Stress may cause harm.
Harm doesn't do any good.
Good means of great quality.
Great quality entitles success.
Success is a journey.
A journey is definitely not a destination.
Destination is the purpose.
Purpose driven life.
Life is a challenge.
Challenge provides the opportunity for greatness.
Greatness is earned never awarded...
and everything will vanish in the hereafter
except for the Greatness of Allah!

The veil

Munsyeed: Dawud Wharnsby

They say, "Oh, poor girl, you're so beautiful you know
It’s a shame that you cover up your beauty so."
She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly,
"This beauty that I have is just a simple part of me.
This body that I have, no stranger has the right to see.
These long clothes, this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.
Faith is more essential than fashion, wouldn't you agree?"

This Hijab -
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.

They tell her, "Girl, don't you know
this is the West and you are free?
You don't need to be oppressed, ashamed of your femininity."
She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly,

"See the bill-boards and the magazines that line the check-out isles,
With their phoney painted faces and their air-brushed smiles?
Well their sheer clothes and low-cut gowns -
they are really not for me.
You call it freedom, and I call it anarchy."

This Hijab -
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.

Lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
Lift the veil from your heart and seek the heart of purity.
