tahajjud

In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful
O Allah bless Muhammad and his family
O Allah I turn to You through Your Prophet,
the Prophet of mercy and (through) his family
and I place them in front of my needs so make me through them, respected,
in the world and in the hereafter and from the near ones
O Allah have mercy on me through them and do not punish me through them
and guide me through them and do not lead me astray through them
and grant me sustenance through them and do not deny me through them and
fulfill my needs of the world and the hereafter
Surely You have power over all things and (You) are aware of all things...

Praying at night gives serenity and tranquillity to the heart.

Tahajjud, also known as the "night prayer" is a voluntary prayer. It is not one of the five obligatory prayers required of all Muslims, yet still, our beloved prophet Muhammad performed it many times and encouraged his companions to offer it for its many rewards and benefits.

Narrated Masruq: I asked 'Aisha which deed was most loved by the Prophet. She said, "A deed done continuously." I further asked, "When did he used to get up (in the night for the prayer)." She said, "He used to get up on hearing the crowing of a cock." [Sahih Bukhari]

Narrated Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As: Allah's Apostle told me, "The most beloved prayer to Allah is that of David and the most beloved fasts to Allah are those of David. He used to sleep for half of the night and then pray for one third of the night and again sleep for its sixth part and used to fast on alternate days." [Sahih Bukhari]

‘They used to sleep but little by night (invoking their Lord and praying, with fear and hope)'. [Qur’an 51: 17]

‘And in some parts of the night (also) offer the prayer with it (i.e. recite the Qur’an in the prayer), as an additional prayer (Tahajjud: optional prayer)’. [Qur’an 17: 79]

Solah tahajjud brighten the faces, makes the night pleasant, and attracts sustenance. So let's pray tahajjud! ^_^
